WATz IN WATz OUT!!!!!!!!!!

hEY gALS ,
Tell us watz in and watz out !!! could be FFP or anything that comes to ur mind about our day to day trendz.
For start:
Out: Stick-Straight Hair

This year, textured hair will be in, says Suki Duggan, hair guru and co-author of The Essential Guide to Hair, Makeup and Skin Care: Always in Style. "Hair in 2008 should have natural waves and move easily," adds the salon owner.
For 2009
We’d be seeing the bob with and without bangs. We’re also seeing straight, sleek bobs and wavy, curly bobs. Either way, it’s all about short hair this season!

Ricotta Cheese Coconut Barfi (stove top)

Whatever you mix you can taste to make sure it how you like it.

Ricotta Cheese ( I used part skim ricotta) I use the bigger dabba of it.....you can use however much you want
Cardamom crushed or powder ( just a little bit)
Shredded coconut (also how coconutty you want it to be)
sugar (according to taste)

mix the ricotta, cardamom and sugar together, taste it, it should be a little bit sweeter than you like. this is because after you add the coconut the sweetness will become less.

Toast the coconut in a non stick pan until slightly brown, put aside
In the same pan put ricotta and sugar mixture and on mediumish heat cook the mixture until it becomes like a little bit thicker than cake batter consistency...you have to keep stirring pretty much the whole time....this takes a while :) maybe 45 min or so
once the mixture reaches a thick consistency add the coconut and mix well....cook for maybe 1 min or so

transfer to a butter coated sheet and pat it down into one layer, let it cool, you can cover and put in refrigerator also. once cool you can cut into pieces and its ready!!!!!

Ricotta Cheese Barfi (oven)

Ricotta Cheese Barfi (oven)

Ricotta cheese
sugar (to taste)
Cardamom (little bit)

Mix the above ingredients and put in an oven safe dish. The wider the better, so that you get a barfi like thickness. Cover with foil and put in oven at 350 F for 1 hour. This can be longer or a little shorter...I am sorry but I have not perfected this recipe time wise. I kind of see how it looks and go from there. Once this part is done, you take the foil off and bake for an additional 15-25 min. This will give it some color.

I tried doing this with the coconut also but it didn't come out as nice as it does on the stove top.

Tip of the day!!!!!!!!

Well today's is no fashion tip!
I think everyone who cooks and specially the not so good at cooking ones have atleast once added too much salt in the curry :( too bad .
But guess what there sure is a way to get some of it out if its a curry. Peel and cut big pieces of potato and put it in the curry, once its cooked remove the potatoes, they sure suck out the excess salt from the curry.

Hope this helps!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fashion 101

A lot has been and will be said about Fashion...... dos and donts of how to make your peepers sparkle and your lips more shaply. But here is my Fashion tip 101, something that guys and girls of all age should find useful (no matter how perfect they already look). The first word of Fashion for me is not comfort or couture. Its ATTITUDE.
If they say 'beauty is not skin deep', and say it a million times over (until we roll our eyes over the trite phrase), its only because its a trascendant truth. I believe I can buy the costliest Vera Wang that I can afford and put on salon-make up and still manage to look like hag.
The scene in KKHH where the warden teaches our naive heroin what 'aada' is and its 'aada' that makes a woman enticing not nik-nish products, comes to mind.
So feel worthwhile and holdup straight when you walk. Feel lucky for the blessings that you have and dont slump when you sit on your office-chair. Smile like you really mean it when you greet a total stranger in the morning, have confidence in what you say and laugh out loud.... a lot.
So all you beautiful people.....have an awesome day, everyday.

Tip of the day!!!

Not all of us have perfect lips, infact most of use have it otherwise. To get a perfect shape for your not so perfect lips , apply a coat of foundation base on your lips to match it with your skin color.
Now line your lips according to the natural shape of your lips (thick lips line it from inside the actual lip line and vice-versa). Fill the lips with the lip color using a lip filling brush.

Tip of the day!!!!!!

Something to consider next time you go shopping for lipstick.... ..
A number of lip colors are found to have lead as an ingredient and its level above the 0.1 PPM. The two with the highest levels were those belonging to Lo real and Cover Girl followed by one of the Dior's shade.
This amount of lead though may be not too much for and adult could be hazardous to the fetus if used by a pregnant women.
Lead is a potential neurotoxin and though it may not show any effects for a long time the accumulation of the toxin may lead to delayed neurological symptoms.
Please visit http://cosmeticsdatabase.com/browse.php?category=lipstick
to look at the level of hazard among different brands of lipsticks.
